• Saudi Arabia is basically an Islamic kingdom, and any other religious practice is not permitted and is persecuted. Converting from Islam to another religion carries the death penalty. However, it is believed that there are as many as a million Christians in Saudi Arabia, the majority of which are expatriates. Pray that God would protect these believers, and that He would use them in creative ways to minister to the overwhelmingly Islamic majority in order to breakdown the strongholds of Islam.
• There have been indications in recent years that leadership is seeking to make positive reforms and more tolerance relative to fundamentalist Islamic policies of years past. Pray that the leaders and governments may come to fear the One True God, and that they would begin respect human life and dignity. Pray for the protection of citizens, especially women, in a country where there has been a poor human rights record
